SheriLou Inc. was founded in 2007 by two practicing dermatologists - Dr. Sheri Feldman, and Dr. Louise Stewart, to address the needs of their patients. As practicing dermatologists, the doctors are familiar with, and utilize the vast number of prescription and nonprescription products on the market to treat numerous skin conditions in patients of all ages.

In comparing notes, Dr.'s Stewart and Feldman realized that there was one area of their patients' concerns that was not being effectively treated by the use of available products. Both doctors consult with teenagers, young adults and sports enthusiasts that struggle with oily irritated scalps. Many products have been formulated that deal with acne or oily, irritated and blemish prone skin, but not with similar issues on the scalp. Treatment support seems to end at the hairline.

The doctors wanted to offer a non-prescription medicated treatment that would be available to everyone without having to visit a physician. At this realization - Clear Poreformance - was born.
